Office space in Congleton

If you need your next office rental to be handy for the motorway and the urban centres of the north-west, but set only a few miles from the Peak District, Congleton could be the ideal location. Welcome to the Office Genie guide to this historic market town, where you’re sure to find the ideal office to rent.

Why rent offices in Congleton?

Drivers of all kinds will be familiar with the products made in Congleton. This Cheshire market town is known for the manufacture of golf balls and airbags and also supplies sand extracted from the nearby Cheshire Plain. As well as light industry, Congleton’s proximity to Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent make it ideal as a commuter town.

That proximity means Congleton is just seven miles east of the M6. It’s just 15 minutes’ drive to J17 of the motorway, via the A354. The town is also on the A34 that links Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester, and also the A54 between Buxton and the Peak District. Macclesfield is only 25 minutes’ drive down the A536. Manchester is an hour’s drive away, while Birmingham is just two hours’ drive. Manchester Airport is 20 miles away on the A34.

Congleton’s rail station is on the West Coast Main Line, offering journey times to Manchester and Crewe of around 40 minutes, to Stoke-on-Trent in just 15 minutes and to Birmingham in a little over an hour.

All this and Congleton offers the individual charm of a county market town, with a twice-weekly market and local festivals – a food and drink festival promoting local produce and cuisine, and a jazz and blues festival. The Macclesfield Canal passes through the town, and there are heritage canal boats to hire nearby. There is a real business focus too. East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce provides business advice and support for start-ups and established firms.
