It also has the advantage of the Goodge Street London Underground station on Tottenham Court Road, which is on the Northern line between Tottenham Court Road and Warren Street. Euston is the nearest mainline station, approximately a 15-minute walk from Goodge Street.
The area of Fitzrovia is today characterised by its mix of residential, business, retail, education and healthcare. Commercial property uses are diverse, but it is still well known for its fashion industry, now comprising mainly wholesalers and HQs. It is also home to media outfits, a famous advertising industry, television production companies, international architects and interior designers. The world headquarters of Arup Group, consultants of everything to do with the built environment, are now located on Fitzroy Street. The Group is owner of many of the surrounding buildings, which are in the process of being redeveloped into modern offices.
