Why choose offices in Bermondsey?
While it may not be the most fashionable area of central London, you can’t argue with its location. Take a short walk across the Thames over the iconic Tower Bridge, hang a left onto Jamaica Road and you’ll be at Bermondsey tube station before you know it.
To the west lies Southwark, home to the Shard, Tate modern and more, with Waterloo station a few minutes further on. And to the east you’ll hit Surrey Quays and the Isle of Dogs, home to so much recent regeneration.
So why has Bermondsey been largely off the business radar? The simple answer is transport links: a problem recently solved by the extension of the Jubilee line. Waterloo s just three short stops away, while London Bridge (Northern line) and Surrey Quays (Overground) are a single stop in either direction. This is fast putting Bermondsey back on the map, but there are still some office bargains to be had.
