Office space in East Kilbride

This page is dedicated to the area of East Kilbride in Scotland. Here you’ll discover why we think locating your business to this area, Scotland’s first new town, could be really beneficial. And we’ll help you to find that perfect property to rent there.

Why choose offices in East Kilbride?

Business is at the very heart of East Kilbride, the largest town in South Lanarkshire. At its centre is a huge shopping centre comprising six linked malls: The Plaza, Princes Mall, Olympia, Southgate, Princes Square and Centre West.

What’s more, the shopping centre is surrounded by several self-contained precincts which also have their own local shops and community facilities; East Kilbride is divided into a number of smaller areas bordered by main through-roads. These areas include Nerston, College Milton, Stewartfield, Calderwood, East mains, West Mains, St Leonards, Hairmyres, Westwood, The Murray, Mossneuk, Gardenhall, Newlandsmuir, Greenhills, Kelvin, Lindsayfield and Whitehills.

There are also a number of industrial estates, which are concentrated on the outskirts of the town, in northern, western and southern directions.

East Kilbride’s leisure industry brings lots of people into the town too. Local amenities include a multiplex cinema, ice rinks, Arts centre, Village Theatre, Bowling Green, Dollan Aqua Centre, several sports centres, golf courses and numerous other recreational facilities. The town plays host to a variety of local clubs and societies and also has the popular Calderglen Country Park and James Hamilton heritage Loch.

The town’s proximity to Glasgow (about eight miles), one of Europe’s top financial cities, is another key benefit. Three main roads connect East Kilbride with surrounding suburbs and the city: the A727, A749 and the Glasgow Southern Orbital.

The bus station, which was recently rebuilt with modern facilities, is located at the shopping centre and East Kilbride railway station is about a 10-minute walk away. Trains run to Glasgow Central railway station every half hour and take about 27 minutes.
