Office space in Lisburn

If you’re looking to rent office space in Northern Ireland, the shopping mecca of Lisburn must be on your list of potential locations. Welcome to the Office Genie guide to this city with a great location on the Belfast-Dublin corridor and a wealth of office space to choose from.

Why rent offices in Lisburn?

Lying less than 10 miles south west of Belfast city centre, Lisburn is part of the Belfast Metropolitan Area, but gained city status in 2002 as part of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee celebrations. Did we say shopping? It’s one of Northern Ireland’s main retail destinations, with Bow Street Mall, a pedestrianized city centre packed with independent and chain stores alike, and the outdoor Lisburn Square shopping area. There are two more large retail parks just two minutes from the centre, all of which draws consumers from as far afield as Dublin.

Lisburn’s location is a big factor in this. Belfast is just 20 minutes’ drive away down the M1, which also connects Lisburn to Lurgan, 15 minutes’ drive away, and Dungannon (40 minutes). Newry is 40 minutes’ drive down the A1, while Dublin is an hour and three-quarters by car.

Rail services are excellent too, with journey times to Belfast just 10-15 minutes and trains to Bangor taking just over an hour. Newry is a 50-minute rail journey, while three trains every hour make the two-hour trip to Dublin.

There’s a clear business feel to the city. Lisburn City Council sponsors the Lisburn City Business Awards, which has been going for more than a decade. Business networking, advice and training are offered through the Lisburn Chamber of Commerce and the Lisburn Entrepreneurs Network, while the Lisburn Enterprise Organisation offers information and advice to new and established businesses in the city.
