Office space in Staveley

A stone’s throw from the Peak District, Staveley is well-placed for the M1 and set for significant regeneration over the next few years. If you think that makes it a great candidate to be your next office location, why not take a look at the Office Genie guide to offices for rent in Staveley?

Why rent offices in Staveley?

Just 20 minutes from the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park, Staveley is a former Derbyshire mining town that was also known for chemicals and iron and steel manufacture. There’s still some industry here, including a plastic pipe moulding factory owned by Brett Martin, and these days Staveley is also home to quirky microbrewery Townes Brewery.

Regeneration is on the agenda for Staveley. There is an ambitious 20-year plan to develop the disused Staveley Works factory site in the town into a new marina, with businesses, shops, homes, and eco-habitats, complete with a park and lagoon. Work has also been under way to redevelop the Chesterfield canal at Staveley, with a new lock and canal basin constructed in the town.

Notable local landmarks include the Jacobean Staveley Hall, currently owned by the local council, which offers the venue’s Speedwell Rooms for hire for events up to 400 people.

Located on the A619 Chesterfield Road, Staveley is just a mile from J29a of the M1, or five minutes by car. Sheffield and Rotherham are a 30-minute drive, while Chesterfield is just a 10 or 15-minute journey by road. Chesterfield is the nearest railway station, with services to Sheffield (15 minutes), London St Pancras International (just under 2 hours), and Peterborough (1 hour and 40 minutes). Nottingham is 40 minutes to the south by both car and rail. East Midlands Airport is just a 45-minute drive south down the M1.
