Office space in SW20
Are you looking for an office to rent just on the edge of the capital but with frequent trains to Waterloo? Then SW20 could be perfect for you. Welcome to the Office Genie guide to an area of London with green space, low crime, good schools and a reputation for strong community spirit.
Why rent offices in SW20?
SW20 covers the West Wimbledon district of London, and includes the suburban areas of Raynes Park, Lower Morden, Merton Park and Wimbledon Chase. You’re at the south-western tip of the London postcodes here, so there’s plenty of green space, particularly in Raynes Park.
Eight miles south-west of Charing Cross, we’re in gated residential development and golf course territory and the area has the largest proportion of green space in London. Active residents’ associations give the area a strong feeling of community spirit, and draws in families and young professionals.
At the northern edge of SW20 is Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, at the bottom end of Wimbledon Common. Wimbledon itself is a stone’s throw away, with its shopping centre, theatre and affluent suburban housing.
SW20 is served by two rail stations, Raynes Park and Wimbledon Chase. Raynes Park runs an average of 12 trains an hour to Waterloo with a journey time of 20 minutes. Wimbledon Chase has trains to London Bridge (a 45-minute journey) and Thameslink services to Luton and Bedford.
The A3 runs along the western edge of the area, with journey times of 15 minutes to the M25 at J10 and 30 minutes to J1 of the M4.
This is predominantly a suburban and residential area, though Raynes Park has a bustling shopping street, the Rainbow Industrial Estate and a local independent business association. The Merton Chamber of Commerce also organises the Merton Best Business Awards covering SW20 as part of the London borough of Merton.
