Office space Ilford
Located midway between Stratford’s shiny towers and Romford, further out at the fringes of London, Ilford can easily be overlooked when you’re searching for an office rental. But the town increasingly has a lot to offer and Office Genie is here to help you find your ideal office space to rent in Ilford.
Why choose offices in Ilford?
Ilford’s younger population means the town centre has a buzzy vibe, with plenty of bars, gyms and entertainment options available; but it’s also one of London’s safest town centres, with 2,500 hectares of parks and green spaces easily in reach.
There’s a lot of office space in Ilford, with some at the cheaper end for London. And because East London is earmarked for major regeneration, Ilford looks like its fortunes are definitely set to rise. The local authority is planning regeneration in the town, encouraging the development of landmark tall buildings at the eastern and western gateways to the town centre.
Ilford is already home to some major employers, including British Telecom, Royal Mail and plane-and-train manufacturer Bombardier, and it is also the headquarters of the local authority, Redbridge.
Communication links are a big plus for the town. Ilford station is on the Great Eastern Main Line in London’s transport Zone 4. It’s a 16-minute journey to London Liverpool Street with trains every 10 minutes – and much more frequently in rush hour.
The big news for Ilford is that the Crossrail project will serve the town in a few years, slashing journey times to Heathrow Airport and opening up the City of London and the West End. And though Ilford may not yet have the pulling power of Stratford, Stratford is still just down the road, with fast trains to Ashford and the Eurostar and connections to Stansted Airport, City Airport and the ExCel convention centre.
All in all, Ilford is something of a hidden gem in London’s eastern end.
Office space options in Ilford
Ilford has a wide range of office space for rent. Serviced offices are at the top end, offering you a flexible lease on a managed space you can move into straight away and with top end amenities.
Shared offices are similar, but you rent from the incumbent firm rather than a management agency so they tend to be a little cheaper – perfect for freelancers and startups. Finally, the cheap option tends to be long traditional leases – but you’ll need your own infrastructure (furniture, receptionist etc).
