Office space in Dunstable

Nestled on the eastern flank of the Chiltern Hills, Dunstable is an easily accessible location for your next office rental. Welcome to the Office Genie guide to this Bedfordshire market town which has an unexpected touch of Hollywood glamour.

Why rent offices in Dunstable?

Frankly if it’s good enough for Gary Cooper, Dunstable is good enough for anyone. The Hollywood movie star went to Dunstable Grammar School between 1910 and 1913. He may be the most celebrated local resident, but the Bedfordshire market town has had its share of actors, musicians and sportspeople as residents over the years.

And why not? Its location on the edge of the Chilterns means Dunstable has plenty of outdoor attractions. The chalk grasslands of Dunstable Downs offer great views and are popular with kite-flyer, paragliders and hang-gliders. Or you can visit the UK’s largest zoo and safari park, Whipsnade Zoo, with its menagerie of wild creatures and its very own narrow gauge railway.

Dunstable is 30 miles north of London and lies on the A5 trunk road. The M1 is nearby, with J11 about two miles east of the town centre – just 5-10 minutes’ drive, depending on the time of day. The Luton Dunstable Busway is a guided busway that runs along the lines of a former railway track, and the A5-M1 link is a planned bypass to speed traffic from the A5 to the new J11a south of Chalton.

Dunstable is well-connected, then, with journey times by road of 15 minutes to Luton, 20 minutes to Luton Airport and 30 minutes to Milton Keynes. London is a 40-minute rail journey from Luton.

As befits a town that has the UK’s oldest independent retail business (The Cottage Garden Flower Shop, established in 1898), Dunstable has its own Business and Community Awards run by Networking @ Dunstable, and the Dunstable and Houghton Regis Business Group operates as part of the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
